Due to the characteristics of its` soils Costigliole has the greates surface area of vineyards within the Piedmont region and it`s no surprise it produces such impessive wines . The winery has been in the hands of the Borio family for generations, and continues to flourish under the current ownership of the capable and driven Mauriuccia Borio. Barbera is a grape with an anceint tradtion in the Asti area and only the finest grape clusters are used to make this wine. Deep garnet in colour turning to dark ruby with age, the bouquest is full and refined with notes of steeped plums and redcurrant jam.
