Helmut remains passionate about traditional production of his exceptional fine wines in Germany, where he is recognised as one of the country`s foremost producers & part of a select group known as "The Masters of Riesling". 1998 was a difficult vintage in Germany & many initially feared the worst but happily the testing conditions produced some stunning wines with full fruit flavours & fantastic harmonious acidity. The Donnhoff Oberhauser Brucke Riesling Auslese is a masterpiece in terms of Riesling production; intense candied citrus, apricot, melon & nectarine aromas abound in the bouquet before flourishing on the rich yet refreshing palate. The unctuous honeyed fruit notes are not cloying but pure & bright in the lingering & sublime finish. Riseling 100% This glorious wine could happily be consumed on it`s own to fully savour the abundance of flavour & complexity, however a it will also make a fantatsic match for rich creamy cheeses, crab, pork, honey roasted duck breast & asian style cuisine such as Thai |
