Viticultural methods have been steered progressively towards the most environmentally respectful methods that in turn help to yield the finest grapes. This philosophy combined with the years of experience in harvesting, vinification and the ability to achieve truly harmonious oak-aging all contribute to these truly wonderful wines. Under the ownership of the Champagne House Joseph Henriot since 1995 the quality of the wines has been enhanced still further. The Premier Cru Fremiets Clos de la Rougeotte vineyard is located in Volnay between the appellations of Pommard and Meursault and is famed for light, aromatic and elegant wines with lower levels of tannin than other Burgundies. The nose is perfumed with aromas of violet, rasperberry and blackberries, the lush fruit flavours follow through to the elegant palate o f gentle tannins and delicate spice. A fantastic vintage that deserves further aging to fully appreciate the sublime flavours. 100% Pinot Noir A refined Pinot Noir full of soft fruit flavours that will pair well with lamb and redcurrant sauce, roast duck or duck with hoi sin sauce, guinea fowl, roast chicken with glazed shallots, mushroom, walnut & thyme ravioli.
