Only three families have owned the estate since the 12th century ensuring an unquestionable level of continuity and quality. The unique properties of the Clos de Tart soils produce wines of great strength and elegance. 2005 was a rare and exceptional vintage producing wines of great balance and power, without doubt one of the greatest vintages of the past hundred years. The colour is deep and full with a fragrant, rich, concentrated nose. Full in the mouth with a great depth of steeped berry and cherry fruit, firm masculine tannins with wonderful elegance and a spicy molasses like edge.
