Classification

The Benfield & Delamare winery harvested it`s last vintage in 2006, after 24 years of dedication to creating fantastic Bordeaux style wines Bill Benfield and Sue Delamere decided to call it a day. Very few bottles now remain on the market so we are happy to have a few left in our cellars to share!

A refined vintage rather than a powerful one, the bouquet is perfumed with floral and red summer fruit aromas of raspberry and strawberry mingling with the classic cassis that further develop and build on the palate. The structure is elegant and silky with fine tannins.

Wonderful with roasted or sauced red and white meat dishes, lamb chops, pan fried kidneys with mushrooms, stuffed mushrooms, wild boar stew, chicken with cranberries.
