The rhubarb and custard flavour comes from natural rhubarb essence and Madagascan vanilla, both of which are infused into the gin. Whilst it is noticeably sweeter on the palate than the original Nelson`s Gin this is still a London Dry Gin, not a liqueur, so it isn`t cloying or syrupy. In fact Nelson`s has a remarkable clean, smooth taste which lets each botanical sing individually on the tastebuds.
