The word Matenghja is an ancient blessing in the local Gallura dialect, the wine representing a tribute to the gifts of the natural environment of Gallura which permit the production of such a fine wine. Deep ruby red in colour with intense purple reflections. The aromas are intense & vibrantly fruity with hints of black berry fruits, blueberries, juniper, coffee beans, cocoa & mint leaves. The palate is full bodied with lush ripe dark fruit flavours, densely textured with fine grained tannins creating a balanced structure. Warm spiced softly peppered notes linger in the brooding finish.
