The winery was founded by a biochemist, Roman Bratasiuk in 1990 with the goal of producing world class single vineyard wines. The wines are made using only natural processes and the winery is committed to environmentally sustainability. The Clarendon Hills wines are meticulously and lovingly hand crafted by a small and dedicated team of only five people and their passion and experience shine through in every bottle! This wine forms part of the Clarendon Hills 1er Cru Classification & the grapes are grown in a vineyard that is over 110 years old. Similar in style to the Cote Rotie wines of France`s Northern Rhone, the aromas in the bouquet are of ripe black fruit, spice, black pepper, licorice, cinamonn and peat with a backdrop of meaty notes. The palate is full bodied & complex with mineralic, graphite notes & mature tannins corseting the ample fruit and herbaceous flavours. Long & impressive fin ish.
