The Cappellaccio Aglianico is one of the estate`s flagship wines produced from fruit sourced exclusively from the estate`s Castel del Monte D.O.C. vineyards. Deep garnet red in colour with rich, complex aromas displaying classic Aglianico varietal characteristics; ripe red fruit, tanned leather, spices & peppery notes. The palate is full-bodied with a firm, grippy tannic structure and a well balanced lively acidity further underscored by brisk mineral notes which augment the rich red & black fruit flavours. The finish is complex with hints of leather, dark chocolate, coffee beans & spiced plum.
