Founded in 1882 by the great-grandfather Jean SAMALENS the company remains under family ownership today and has never produced anything other than Bas Armangnac, the Samalens brand is revered all over the world from Europe to the USA & Asia. The Samalens Napoleon is exceptionally fine, possessing a luminous golden amberquality. The bouquet is very fruity with notes of ripe peach, apricot and quince. On the palate it is warming, elegant and refined; the fruity flavours and the wooded tannins melt together into an unctuous and deeply satisfying blend.

A sufficiently large glass to allow the flavours of the Armagnac to warm and develop are all that is required, although a fireside and a favourite chair are welcome additions.
