The vineyards benefit from a particularly mild microclimate ensuring optimum conditions for the grapes to grow and only organic fertilisers are used on the estate. The wine is named after Fabivs de` Vecchis, the Bishop of Montalcino who was responsible for the building of the "Palazzo" in 1672 which houses the Ciacci Piccolomini wine cellars and headquarters. The aromas are concentrated & complex with hints of blackberry jam, plum and cherry enriched by elegant spicy notes. The palate is warm, soft & well balanced with with round mellow tannins underscored by herby nuances. Powerful & persistent with great finesse.
