Together they produced highly regarded Bordeaux style wines from the fruit grown in their Napa Valley vineyard (which was originally a cattle ranch) during the 1980`s and 1990`s before the estate was sold to the Bump family and since renamed as Darms Lane Wine. Deep purple in colour with crimson tints around the rim. The bouquet is perfumed with black berry fruits, plum jam, cocoa, & spice, the palate is soft and well rounded with melted tannins framing giving structure to layers of fleshy red and black fruit flavours. The finish is satisfying, laced with notes of leather, black cherry, mocha and sweet vanilla oak. 100% Merlot A great match for dishes featuring elements of sweetness or caramelisation such as glazed ribs, seared or blackened meats, duck with a black cherry sauce, root vegetable tagine, Japanese Teriyaki or black bean sauce dishes, medium hard cheese based dishes Other Napa wines |
