Alsace is the driest French wine region with a micro climate that enables the grapes to ripen slowly to full maturity allowing for great finesse and unequalled intensity of aroma and flavour. The Hugel family vineyards are situated in Riquewihr, renowned for producing "the most noble wines of the country", with almost half located in the Grand Cru zone. No fertilisers are used in the vineyards, average vine age is thirty years and grapes are picked by hand, all factors that contribute to the stunning quality & integrity of Hugel wines. A classic and great Alsace Riesling produced from fruit grown in the famous Schoenebourg vineyard; Suave with fantatsic depth of flavour and minerality the Hugel Jubilee Riesling can age and improve for decades. The 2007 vintage in Alsace was one of pleasant surprises! Perfectly ripe grapes produced wines of great elegance with pure, vivacious citrus fruit flavours and aromatic accents of lemongrass, verbena, gooseberry & fern.
