Apples from Home Orchard. This is the smallest release of Old Man & the Bee, and with its time in barrel marks a departure from previous vintages. The result though is a compelling and thrilling expression of the season, the fruit and orchard. Slightly hazy, orange gold in the glass it is super aromatic ? ripe yellow plums, honeysuckle and a touch of vanilla. In the mouth it?s fleshy, super juicy, loaded with apricot, peach and pithy orange fruit. The tannic structure, fine, soft, wet slate in style, holds everything in place perfectly and at the finish there is a subtle salinity which is a feature of the orchard.
